Everywhere you look, someone’s selling a new “hack” to lose weight or get in shape.
Low-carb. Intermittent fasting. Detox teas. Keto. Carnivore. You name it.
And if we’re honest - we’ve all tried at least one.
Because deep down, we hope this will finally be the shortcut to lasting health.
But here’s the truth:
Diets don’t fail because of the food plan.
They fail because quick fixes can’t fix a heart problem.
Think about it: when was the last time the “easy way out” worked better than the hard way in any area of life?
Quick fixes feel good because they give us a surge of hope.
But they always end the same way:
We drop a few pounds, then gain them back.
We get strict for a few weeks, then burn out.
We feel even more discouraged than before.
And while we’re stuck in that cycle, our real purpose suffers.
Gluttony steals our energy.
Laziness clouds our mind.
And instead of being fit to lead, we become too tired to serve.
The Bible warns us about this trap:
“…their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame…” (Philippians 3:19).
Quick fixes don’t work - because they don’t address the root.
Here’s the good news: the “long way” is actually the shorter way.
God didn’t design your health to be a mystery.
He gave us simple tools:
Whole foods - one-ingredient foods the way He made them.
Movement - not always extreme workouts, but using your body daily.
Self-control - the fruit of the Spirit that transforms habits.
Science confirms this too: lasting change comes from small, consistent actions, done day after day, week after week.
That’s what actually rewires your brain, resets your cravings, and gives you energy for the mission God has called you to.
So stop chasing hacks.
Instead, commit to the path that works.
The long way may take more effort up front.
But it’s the only way that brings freedom.
But here’s the challenge:
Most of us already know what to do.
Eat better. Move more. Get consistent.
The real problem? We try to do it alone.
For decades, experts have studied why people never stick to their health goals.
It’s not because we lack information.
It’s not because we don’t have enough motivation.
It’s because we lack accountability and support.
And I believe this is especially true for Christians.
Too many of us are walking around tired, overweight, and overcome by shame and guilt - not because we don’t know better, but because we don’t have brothers and sisters walking with us.
That’s why I’m building something new: a Christian health & fitness support community.
This won’t be another diet plan or temporary challenge.
It’s a place where we’ll grow together - body, mind, and spirit.
Here’s just a taste of what will be included:
A 7-day cravings reset to break free from sugar and junk food
A guide to building better movement habits woven into your everyday life
Weekly live teachings with Q&A
Weekly health & fitness challenges

This week, don’t go at it alone.
Take one small step - but also ask: who’s walking with me?
Because the truth is, you don’t need another hack.
You need a community of believers who will help you live with discipline, strength, and faith.
I can’t wait to build this with you.
